What InTheMoment Is (and Isn't)
InTheMoment offers personalised hypnosis and meditation sessions to support your wellbeing. We're here to help you practice mindfulness, manage stress, and explore positive change.
We are not: therapy, medical treatment, diagnosis, or a replacement for professional mental health care. If you're experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, or need clinical support, please contact a qualified professional or emergency services.
Think of us like a personal trainer or tutor—we help you apply established techniques in a way that fits your life. We don't invent new therapeutic modalities or offer deep trauma work.
Who This Is For
InTheMoment is designed for everyone across the wellbeing spectrum—from people who are doing great and want to enhance their practice, to those who are struggling and looking for additional support.
We're an additional tool, not a total solution. You might use us alongside therapy, medication, exercise, or other wellbeing practices. We're one piece of the puzzle, not the whole picture.
Our Approach: Surfacing Established Wisdom
We don't give advice or tell you what to do. Instead, we surface ways of seeing and being that might help.
Our sessions draw on established contemplative and psychological traditions:
- Mindfulness-based practices (like MBSR and MBCT)
- Buddhist-inspired meditation principles (breath awareness, body scans, loving-kindness)
- Secular psychological frameworks (like CBT-style reframing)
We're like a personal meditation tutor surfacing a relevant page from a big book of meditation principles—tailored to what you're dealing with right now.
Safety Guardrails
We've built guardrails into our AI to reduce the risk of harm:
- We don't minimise serious issues. If you share something that suggests you need professional help, we acknowledge it and encourage you to seek support.
- We don't tell you to ignore your feelings or push through pain. Our approach emphasises self-compassion, listening to your body, and respecting your limits.
- We encourage breaks and self-kindness. If things feel overwhelming, we remind you it's okay to pause, step back, and reach out for help.
- We stick to low-risk, broadly supported techniques. We don't experiment with unproven methods or venture into areas that require clinical training.
Not a Substitute for Professional Care
InTheMoment is a wellbeing tool, not a healthcare service. If you're dealing with severe anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal thoughts, or any serious mental health condition, please speak to a doctor, therapist, or crisis service.
We're here to support your journey, but we can't replace the expertise of trained mental health professionals.
